Within easy reach of Managua and Granada, Masaya Volcano National Park brings visitors close to one of Nicaragua’s most emblematic volcanic complexes. Santiago crater, about 500 meters wide, releases gases that make the landscape feel unmistakably alive.

The park lies beside the highway between Managua and Masaya. It fits easily into a half-day trip from Managua, Granada or Masaya city by car, taxi or organized tour.
